We went to Don Pedro, and the food was exceptional. The beef soup was hearty and delicious, as were the burrito and chimichangas. The atmosphere is casual and traditional, giving you that authentic vibe. But the real star of the experience was Tamara--her service and kindness truly made our visit special. She ensured everything ran smoothly and left a lasting impression. Definitely a five-star experience!
It's not Tex-Mex down on the border, but it's not a bad invitation. Friendly staff, good ambience and the live guacamole is pretty darn good. Margaritas are worth it too !
Love this restaurant the beans were good but not the best but the salsa is good also best service ever :D
Amazing restaurant! Miguel served us and was spot on perfect as a new server learning English. The tables and chairs along with art on the walls gave a very authentic feel. The food was perfect, I had a margarita and enchiladas suizas. Spot on. My picky son chose ACP and it was better than he's had before!
Still one of my favorite restaurants! I recently had the homemade guacamole and my stars... it was phenomenal! We literally almost ate the entire large portion size in one seating. I will definitely be returning... even if only for the amazing homemade guacamole. :)
We were looking for a filling lunch before boarding a flight at CLT, and Don Pedro did not disappoint. First of all, the post-Valentine's decor in the place was festive and awesome. Look at that ceiling! We were promptly seated and brought a generous serving of corn chips, mild tomato salsa, and tall ice water glasses. Whenever trying someplace new, I look for the house or chef specials, so I tried the Carnitas de Puerco. That pork was fantastic - slow roasted until tender, and then I'm guessing it is cubed and flashed fried prior to serving. Crispy and well seasoned on the outside, and tender on the inside. It was really enjoyable. The cactus salad was a little bland, and could use a something - maybe a vinegary dressing - and the rice was a little dry. However, mixed with the beans, guacamole, and sour cream, it was a very hearty delicious meal that I would absolutely order again.
Came here with my frisbee team so we had a ton of people. Didn't even make a reservation but they accommodated us anyway. Stuff went super smoothly- the servers gave us seemingly endless chips and salsa and had us our food within very reasonable time. The food was good, not great, but very generous in terms of portions. The arroz con pollo was very filling and I left stuffed. Overall had a great experience!
Everyone loved the environment and the reminder of Mexican culture. We came on karaoke night, which is a win in my book! We enjoyed listening to the Spanish music, and we came in with the classic karaoke music and folks sang along. If portions are your marker for a good place, this is your spot! The dishes were HUGE. I had the flautas, which were good but I needed more flavor. Other wise, I'll be back!
